Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 11, 2026
RaiseClaw (“RaiseClaw,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform and services (collectively, the “Services”). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Services.
1. Who We Are
RaiseClaw operates an AI-powered investor outreach and fundraising productivity platform for startup founders.
For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at ceo@raiseclaw.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and certain information from third-party integrations you authorize.
2.1 Account & Profile Data
- Name, email address, and password (hashed) when you create an account.
- Startup profile details: company name, funding stage, raise amount, sector, product description, comparable companies, and investor outreach context you provide voluntarily.
- Organization settings and preferences.
2.2 Email Integration Data
- OAuth tokens from your connected Gmail account (stored encrypted using AES-256-GCM at rest). We never store your Gmail password.
- Metadata about emails sent through your connected account (recipient, timestamp, subject line) for tracking and analytics purposes.
- Reply classification signals to power your inbox and follow-up workflows.
2.3 Investor & Lead Data
- Information about investors you add manually or import, including names, firm affiliations, email addresses, and portfolio data.
- Our platform includes a curated database of investor profiles compiled from publicly available sources (LinkedIn, firm websites, Crunchbase, and similar public repositories). You may interact with these profiles within the platform solely for legitimate fundraising purposes as described in Section 5.
- Research outputs, AI-generated scores, and notes attached to investor profiles.
2.4 Usage & Technical Data
- Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, actions taken, timestamps.
- Device information: operating system, device type, viewport.
- Feature usage patterns to improve the platform (e.g., which AI features are used most).
- Crash reports and error logs (without sensitive content).
2.5 Payment Data
Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe may share billing metadata (plan type, payment status) with us.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services.
- Power AI-driven features such as investor research, email drafting, and reply classification.
- Send transactional communications (email confirmations, security alerts, billing receipts).
- Provide customer support.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve our product.
4. Investor Database: Publicly Sourced Data
The investor profile data made available through our platform:
- Is compiled from publicly available sources and is provided for fundraising productivity purposes only.
- May include names, professional email addresses, firm affiliations, investment focus areas, and portfolio information that investor professionals have made publicly available in their professional capacity.
- Is subject to the use restrictions described in our Terms of Service, including prohibitions on resale, redistribution, scraping, and any use outside of legitimate fundraising outreach.
We respect the privacy of the investors listed in our database. If you are an investor and wish to request correction or removal of your information, please contact us at ceo@raiseclaw.com.
5. Email Integration & Third-Party Accounts
When you connect your Gmail account, all emails are sent directly from your own Google account using credentials you authorize via OAuth. RaiseClaw acts as an intermediary tool; we do not send emails from our own mail servers on your behalf.
Google’s use of information received from Google APIs is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We may share your information with:
- Service providers: Supabase (database and auth infrastructure), Google (Gmail OAuth), Stripe (payments), Slack (optional integration), and our AI model provider, each bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RaiseClaw, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
We do not share personal data with data brokers, advertisers, or analytics aggregators.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- AES-256-GCM encryption for OAuth refresh tokens and sensitive credentials at rest.
- TLS encryption for all data in transit.
- Row-level security (RLS) policies enforcing multi-tenant data isolation; your data is logically isolated from other organizations.
- Regular security reviews and dependency audits.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we continuously work to improve our protections.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or compliance purposes (typically up to 7 years for billing records).
AI-generated content (email drafts, research notes, investor scores) associated with your account is deleted upon account termination.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal of consent: Revoke Gmail OAuth access at any time via your Google Account security settings.
- Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from non-transactional emails via the link in any such email.
10. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. International Data Transfers
RaiseClaw is based in the United States. If you access our Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using our Services, you consent to this transfer. We take appropriate steps to ensure your data receives adequate protection.
12. Cookies & Tracking
We use session cookies and local storage to maintain your authenticated session and remember your preferences (e.g., sidebar state, theme). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice via email or an in-app notification at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
